Walking agnostically

Ok believers, this one's for you. And TBH, I think everyone will get something from this. 

Are you claiming to walk with Jesus but still living agnostically? 

Think about it. You claim that you are loved infinitely. State that you are a child of God. You know how sin captures you. You believe that Jesus is God and by his death and resurrection, you are redeemed. 

Yet how often do we (yup, I'm guilty of this too) live life as if we're still in control? How often are we living by sight instead of the faith we're called to walk by. 

Living agnostically means: 

⭕ Turning to the world for our answers 

⭕ Choosing to believe that fear and problems are bigger than our God 

⭕ Thinking that we know better

⭕ Allowing our minds to rule us instead of the Word

⭕ Living the Sunday Church life, not the surrender everything life

⭕ Showing up as ourselves, for ourselves instead of letting Him lead for His Glory 

What else would you add to this list? 

Perhaps you believe in consciousness, love, the universe and such….. Do you act like it? 

We've all got work to do don't you think?

❓Hyper independence due to lack of consistent, reliable adults as a child

❓ Pushing and striving to attempt to fill the “not enough” void

❓ Forever chasing what's next and avoiding now…too much to do!

❓ Living for the future to compensate uncertainty 

❓ Controlling as much as possible as an attempt to rectify feeling unsafe 

❓ Tightening your grip on life thinking that it will relieve your uncomfortable feelings

❓ Resent those who are weak, lazy or can't see that your way is best

……😫

❓Collapse in a heap, exhausted, then guiltily drag yourself up and reconfirm your will over EVERYTHING and EVERYONE

If you've said yes to even a few of these, I see you. And you're as equally terrified of letting go as you are desperate for relief from holding it all together. 

You're in control burnout but can't see a way out. 

When you've been the only one you can truly depend upon your whole life, it's no wonder that you're hyper independent. But when is enough enough?

I've got good news for you, there's rest. There's hope. There's a way to put it all down without it all falling apart.
